Position Description
In Corporate Services, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to be responsible for the preparation and submission of the monthly-consolidated financial reporting package to FTD, using Group accounting packages; together with the preparation of various balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end process.
As a Financial Accountant, you will also be responsible for the preparation of the annual statutory accounts for all companies within the Interflora group and will be responsible for maintaining up to date technical knowledge of accounting and reporting developments for both UK GAAP and US GAAP.
You will be required to ensure Corporation Tax compliance and to prepare tax returns and be responsible for forecasting company cash flow, reporting to FTD, and managing the day-to-day cash movements for investment on the Money Market.
You will also provide additional reporting information as part of the quarter-end and year-end closes.
In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have:
Required Experience
• A relevant financial qualification, (i.e. ACA or ACCA)
• Proven experience within a financial accounting environment
• Excellent Excel spreadsheet skills, including financial modelling
• Outstanding numeracy and analysis skills
• Some technical knowledge of UK GAAP and US GAAP accounting is desirable
• Knowledge of compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley reporting is desirable
