We are looking to add to our friendly and professional IT team with a Technical Support Engineer to help support all areas of the Microsoft environment. In this exciting and challenging technical support role, you will provide technical management, development and problem solving to our 3rd line technical support.
You will also support all areas of the data and telecommunications networks, server and bespoke application infrastructure and email environments.
As our investment in better technology increases, the role will change too - with the introduction of cloud services from Microsoft - in particular Office 365, Azure and other cloud offerings.
As well as using your strong IT technical skills to ensure all systems are secure and have the necessary patch levels to ensure protection against threats you will also work with the wider IT Team to ensure security compliance is maintained.
This a great role where as a Technical Support Engineer, you will get to support all members of the IT Team and wider business teams and use your good interpersonal and technical skills to provide an excellent IT technical service.
Required Experience
In addition to having experience in performing Technical Support in an IT Team at 3rd line, the successful applicant will have proven experience and skills in;
• Internet and IT infrastructure
• Email messaging
• Network management
• System Center Suite
• Storage provision
• Server Management and Virtualisation
• IP Telecommunications
Candidates should also have analytical skills and sound judgement, good communication and interpersonal skills and have, or be working towards a recognised technical network qualification.
