Position Description
This is a great opportunity to join our Interflora Services team on a fixed term basis to cover a period of maternity leave. In this pivotal role you’ll be responsible for our supply solutions. You’ll category manage the delivery, maintenance and sales for a range of products and services aimed at retailers, such as sundries and work wear.
You’ll get the opportunity to implement strategies to maintain, grow and enhance the categories that you manage as well as providing commercial insight into product performance. You’ll also be expected to produce regular reports on penetration, turnover, costs and margins within your category.
You’ll undertake competitor analysis and identify and recommend opportunities to develop and extend the utilisation of assigned products and services in order to drive increased revenue. You’ll also be expected to grow customer penetration and usage of assigned products and services through promotional campaigns.
Required Experience
In order to be a great success in this role, you would need to have experience of / in:
• Commercial or category management roles, ideally within FMCG environments
• Managing the sourcing and delivery of products and / or services
• Forecasting and trend analysis and associated modelling tools
• Planning and implementing promotional campaigns
• Being a self-starter - capable of planning and organising projects and workload
Some experience of working in a B2B environment and with ERP systems would be an advantage but are not essential.
This role is predominantly based at our Sleaford head office but there is some requirement to travel across the UK from time to time for external meetings.
